George W. Robnett papers, 1937-1975.

Collection comprises primarily the correspondence and speeches of George W. Robnett, a conservative spokesman and executive secretary of the National Laymen's Council, Church League of America. Collection also includes the organization's publication, News and views, which Robnett edited until 1957. Correspondence spans 1937 to 1975, but most is from 1967 to 1969. Correspondence concerns primarily the Church League of America, but also the content and publication of Robnett's book, Conquest through immigration (1968). Collection also includes reports and booklets by Robnett on communist influence in education and government, biographical sketches of American statesmen written by Robnett, press releases of lectures and speeches by Robnett between 1940 and 1960, newsclippings and other miscellaneous printed matter.
